Too soft of sole and insole smells after 3 weeks wear

My ankle hurt the first few days walking in these shoes. I had to walk carefully to ensure my foot landed just so. After 3 weeks the soles of these runners smell badly. I washed them and let them dry overnight. The next morning I found the soles still stunk. I have never purchase shoes that the insoles stunk like these insoles do. I would not expect it considering the price I paid for them. Over $200.00.

Too soft, smelly insole = stinky feet

I bought these for a walking shoe prior to going on a trip where we would be doing a lot of walking. I have worn them now for 3 weeks, averaging on our trip 9,987 steps daily. I found my feet started smelling after this time period. I took the soles out of the runner and washed them in a washing machine with other laundry. I let them air dry overnight. The next morning, the dry insoles still smelled badly. I’ve usually worn my Merrell hiking shoes, but I wanted white walking shoes so bought these. My Merrells are ten years old and the soles still don’t stink. It’s the materials that New Balance uses that causes the bad odour. I also found that the first week wearing, I had to plant my foot just right or it caused my ankle to hurt and I was limping. I will never buy New Balance again.
