Birkenstock Arizona (Soft Footbed) Sandals - Carafe Tonal Suede Leather

I recently ordered a Womens' Birkenstocks size 40 regular width Arizona sandals. I was replacing my previously well worn arizona's and I wanted the exact same fit. Not men's, not unisex, but women's. I did not try them on right away and perhaps I should of but I expected them to be what I ordered which was a size 40 regular width (women's). I treated the cork with two coats and i treated the suede straps with two coats of suede protector. From there I tried them on to find that the straps I had to put on the very last hole and even then they were too big. So now I had to add 2 additional holes for the fit to be right and now the straps have too much overhang. I'm going to wear them obviously I'm not going to return them and have to pay a return shipping. But I wanted to say that I am disappointed that what I infact orderered was not what I received and that was misleading. Next time I will go into a store and pay full price.
